My experience with Indian cops.

It was an awesome and unforgettable experience with 8 policemen at Railway station in Jabalpur city.
It's a bit weird and it’s possible you won't believe me and think of if it as a fictitious answer, but trust me I believe in with-holding rather than lying.
As far as I remember it was 2014, when I was waiting for my train 12191 New Delhi express or Shridham (Gwalior-Jabalpur) for Jabalpur. Train was 18 hours late, as it happens in winter season with this train.
I was waiting at Railway station, Gwalior, all alone in the waiting room.
Finally after a long long wait, train arrived. I reached Jabalpur at 2:30 AM.
Jabalpur is not a safe place for women, especially railway station at such hour.
Nevertheless, I had to leave the train. I thought i’ll wait at station till dawn. During night time, it’s hard to get a cab or auto. I had no other option but to wait. As i walked some distance, there were about 7–8 boys who were looking at me, actually perfect word is enticing, yeah! they were enticing at me. I ignored them, later they started whispering about me (I heard some words they were saying Catch her and all such rubbish words). I had a strong feeling that it’s better to leave the station and I did so.
I came outside and looked around. Environment was disgusting, my phone was dead.
I was stuck there, I started looking for some auto or cab but they were drunk and abusing each other. I was so scared and afraid to think about my next few hours.
Suddenly, I heard some voice, hey girl! Where are you going?
I turned around I saw a Jeep (police Jeep). I went close to that jeep and said, “yes sir”.
He said, Where are you going?, Are you alone?, Where is your family and all such thousand of questions. I told him that I am pursuing engineering from JEC,Jabalpur. My train was 18 hours late and my phone battery is drained so I couldn't inform anyone here. Consequently, I am alone and looking for some auto.
He said, “Do you think you can get an auto? It's 2:40a.m. you have to wait till 5:30 go inside and wait.”
I told him everything, he said “Do you want to have a cup of tea, you will feel better”, I said, “No, may be you have poured something in that tea” and smiled.
I was just kidding.
He offered me tea again (I was dying to have a cup of tea that time) but I refused. There were about 8 policeman and all were nice. They said, “Hey dear, we are going the same way, come inside we will drop you, this is not a good place to stay.”
I felt this is the only option and I have to take it.
I sat inside. They were sharing their experience with some drunkards and asking about me.
It was a sweet trip with them. Great people, they were.
After fifteen minutes, there was a square (Path Baba-Ranjhi) where our paths diverged.
They said, let's ask for lift from some bike riders. I said-No need sir, I can't trust everyone, we are almost there.
They agreed and finally I reached to my hostel. Now,it's time to call landlord to open the door. Phone was not working and instead of screaming I had no option. I asked them to leave. But they refused and asked for landlord's name, I answered - Swatantra Jain. They started to call him “Jain Saab".
After bunch of calls, the door opened and his face was telling a lot, he said-Shraddha,what you did?
Police?
What's this?
They explained everything to him.
Next day, when I went outside, dialogues were hovering at my head like “are you the same girl who came with 8 policemen”?
Actually, they were thinking that I caught with any boy at mid night and all such narrow minded thoughts. I tried to explain it to them but their reaction was still the same. I stopped explaining myself. I knew I was right, and that was enough for me.
Ah! My roomie was saying, Shraddha tell me the truth what happened yesterday? I will not share with anyone, trust me.
I said you do not trust my words just because I came with few policemen.
Policemen are really good.

Shraddha ❤
